Puran Poli Recipe PART 1
A sweet Flatbread stuffed with delicious cooked, mashed Yellow Split-Chickpeas & Jagerry/Sugar mixture... Very very yummy and nutritious indeed.

Makes: 9-10 Puran Poli
Shelf Life: 3 days
can be kept refrigerated for up to 7 days

Ingredients For Cover:
*3/4 cup Wheat Flour
*1/4 cup + For Dusting All-purpose Flour
*1/4 Tsp Salt
*3 Tbsp Oil (Hot)
*1/2 cup + 1 or 2 Tbsp Water

Ingredients For Puran:
*1 Cup Chana Dal/ Split Chickpeas
*3/4 to 1 Cup Grated Jagerry or Sugar or Combination of both (Adj to taste)
*Pinch of Turmaric Powder
*Drop of Oil
*1/2 Tsp Nutmeg Powder and / or
1/2 Tsp Cardamom Powder
*1 Tbsp Roasted Poppy Seeds Powder(optional)
*1/2 Tbsp Dry Ginger Powder (optional)
*Water to soak & cook Dal/ split chickpeas

Ingredients For Puran-Poli:
*Butter/Ghee as needed
