  • I own a zastava m76. How good is this ammo? Do I have to clean the gun alot after using this? Because I heard someone saying those are bad for the gun. The ammo I can buy now is more expensive and better produced. But sometimes our dealer gets ammo like this so thats why I am asking the next time they get it. I maybe buy.

  • @Steunstudent Yes you must clean the bore after using corrosive ammunition.

  • i bulit 2 spam cans full of 8mm mauser ammo

and im thinking of buying 4 more spam cans of 8mm mauser

  • @topper454 Yep guns are pretty much useless without ammunition

  • Looks pretty clean for old ammo, how often have you gotten a misfire?

I've had a 24/47 for a long time and never fired it, I'm going to clean it up and refinish. Looking for a good bulk-ammo already on stripper clips, thinking about going with the romanian stuff.

  • @Ten7d5 Never had a misfire with this ammo. You can get the wood to look good without refinishing it. There is some even older (50's production) corrosive stuff going around that is fairly nasty.

  • On No! It's corrosive, whatever shall I do? How lame can you get? Use some Windex on a patch and wipe it out good. The ammonia kills the salt. How do you think they cleaned before WW2?

  • @cheater5tx Thanks. Because I want to use cheaper ammo for practice. For compititions I like to use more expensive ammo. Its not bad for the gun or something? Cleaning is not really a problem just clean it right away when home.

  • dude so jelly you got stripper clips. do you know by chance if romanian 7.62x54 comes in stripper clips already?

  • I got some of this at a gun show 50 rs for 23$. It wasnt bad ammo but stripper clips suck big nuts. these said 22 and 78 stamped on the back. do u know if this stuff is corrosive?

  • This ammo is sort of hard to find anyone have a good store or site I could go to?

  • MADE JANUARY 22 1957 01 57 22 month year day

  • I wish the 900 rounds of czech ammo we bought came with stripper clips but for brass rounds at less than $100.. cant beat it lol

  • HELP! MY GUN IS RAPING ME.....anyone have any problems with the feed of the mauser... i have a 8mm Turkish mouser in great condition but when i pull the bolt back and then push it forward sometimes the tip of the bullet points down and won't slide forward.... i think its a simple fix but i cant' fix it.....

  • I'm glad I bought a 1400 round case in bandoliers for $100 a long time ago (from century international Arms). The ammo shoots great and was made in 1945. ....................I should'a bought more........Much more!. I have a 1938 German Mauser and the recoil with that ammo kicks a bit more than my Nagant or enfield.
