My dog sneezes when I tell him to speak, too.
You might get better response from the dog when you ask him to do something if you say his name BEFORE the command.

Hehe, my dog knows how the speak command too, and when we tell him "Speak!" he makes these growling noises before his bark like he's building up to it. It's funny :P
