A tribute to the historic evolution of Duke Nukem Forever with glimpses from the December 2007 Teaser video of this long awaited title.

Set to the tune of Brandon "Musically Inspired" Blume's megamix of Duke's theme song, Grabbag.

  • Duke Nukem must wear Chuck Norris Action Jeans, no way could he do the Double Mighty Foot Kick in midair otherwise.

  • this dudes awsome. subscribed.

  • Continued: Development hell and common features in modern shooters was this games downfall in the end. Hopefully the next Duke game will learn from this and go back to what made 3D great :) Apparently the 2 weapon thing came from it being a staple in a lot of console shooters and according to Broussard that's why he chose it; though IDK I still think Consoles could have lots of weapons; hell Duke 3D had a PSX port with 10 weapons at least :/

  • @xTHOSANDJoshx It wasn't really Gearbox's fault. They only finished what 3D realms started. 3D realms had chosen the 2 weapon system among other things themselves; George Broussard (3D realms) had already decided on things like that before Gearbox came along as the 3DR developers were trying to go for features that were popular in other shooters due to the way a lot of shooters are nowadays; though it was obviously a mistake for them to do that. Gearbox did not alter 3D realms plans in anyway

  • I think they could use the recycled forever plots they never used in a future Duke Game and bring back Doctor Proton :)

  • Humph I don't see why 3D realms couldn't have kept the story they were originally going to use for Forever; sure maybe improve graphics but damn it all they had a solid story judging by these trailers. Doctor Proton (Duke's first nemesis) would have been a welcome return. Hmm I wonder if there's leaked plots from the original Forever drafts........ They're bound to have had a completed story if they started work on these earlier versions.

  • damn, this version woulda been awesome to play! too bad they fucked up big time and released it 10 years later than they should have!

  • The game was taken by 3DR in around 2008. Gearbox just fixed things, patched it, gave it a little more, but mainly the game is what we would have got in 2008. If it was finished the way it is now, then, it would have been considered a great game.
