American Fork vs. Hunter Brawl

AMERICAN FORK, Utah -- An on-field brawl between high school football players could draw more than a penalty flag.

American Fork police now want a look at game video from Friday night's contest between American Fork and Hunter high schools. A fight broke out between players with less than two minutes remaining in the quarterfinal playoff game.

Athletes on both sides were reportedly shoving and throwing punches.

Chief Lance Call told Salt Lake City's KUTV that he wants a look at the video. Call didn't specify whether he had opened a criminal investigation.

"This is a state playoff game. Emotions do run a little hotter for these type of games," said Call, who attended the game at American Fork High.

Police are attempting to get video from both schools.
"Unfortunately, the focus should be on those young men playing football who did a great job," Call said. "But a select few decided to ruin everyone's night."
