My Cover Version Of Sonata Arctica's Song "Draw Me"
Recording - I used my guitar (obviously) linked to a DigiTech RP50 FX Pedal,
which then linked to my computer via my sound blaster X-fi soundcard (Front panel version) and it was recorded using TeamSpeak (lol)
Sound fades out (from my guitar) a bit as jani changes to have distortion and i didnt so i get slightly over powered
the reason theres a small sound in the silent part is to prove to a friend i was actually playing the song (lol) he didnt believe it the first time i recorded it.
providing you have some software which will capture the sound from the input.
strangely (or maybe not) to capture the sound i will use "teamspeak" (free internet telephone type thing) or just the software supplied with my sound card.
but i dont see any reason why windows built in sound recorder wouldnt do the job

assuming the amp is also reasonably good yes however factors such as other ambiant (backgroud) noice will effect the quality
as for connecting to your computer you would need a sound card like this
Soundblaster x-fi elite pro
or just a "Guitar Cabal" to "headphone cabal" Adaptor
