See the famous Wat Pho and three other places of worship for buddhists in Bangkok.

Wat Pho (วัดโพธิ์), or Wat Phra Chetuphon (วัดพระเชตุพน) as it is generally known to the Thais, is mainly famous for the huge Reclining Buddha statue it houses. At 20 acres large, it is the largest Wat in Bangkok, and is technically the oldest too, as it was built around 200 years before Bangkok became Thailand's capital.

Temple of Great Relic (Wat Mahathat) in Bangkok was constructed in 18 th century by the order of the King Rama I. It is one of the oldest temples in Bangkok. The temple is also the University and the study centre for Buddhism and meditation.

San Phra Phrom or Erawan Shrine was created as a spirit house connected to the Erawan Hotel, which has now made way for the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel. People offer colourful flower garlands, lotus, incense and candles.
