Cigar Box Guitar Voodoo Child Jimi Hendrix cover 3 string slide Mark Stowe

Just a simple arrangement of Jimi Hendrix's "Voodoo Child" played on a 3 string fretless Cigar Box Guitar that I made. No effects, just a little overdrive on the amp. Growing up left handed, people always wanted me to play some Hendrix. So I'm just having fun and trying to keep true to the spirit of the blues from which this song was written. And now for something completely different . . .

Hi I was wondering what strings you have on that CBG? You rock by the way!

@DrFrankensteam I'm using the A, D and G strings from an acoustic guitar set. . . I don't remember the gauge, but I'm sure it was something close to .045, .035 and .026. Actually it may have been a slightly lighter gauge but all three strings are wound, including the G string. I got it tuned to E-B-e. . .

@mjt11860 I've got it tuned low to E-B-e. Also I'm using an old DOD overdrive pedal with the tone heavy on the bass side
