  • Go to ldschurchdotcom for the honest Truth abt the Mormons, not enemies of the Church. Or mormonchurchdotorg for Truth.

1,800 exmos are a tiny dent in the more than 13,000,000 membership of the Church. OK, I know that most of the time, abt 50% of the membership is inactive, but that ties in nicely with the Parable of The Ten Virgins...5 were ready & prepared to meet the Bridegroom (Jesus at His second coming) & the other 5 were not & had to miss the wedding feast. The Bride is the Church. : )

  • @Yunginspirit

You are not quite accurate in your position of numbers. There are far more exmormons in the world than there are Mormons. According to estimates based on growth and retention figures, only 35-40% of Mormon membership is even active. With individuals remaining on the rolls up to age 110, even the dead are counted in the Mormon figures. Why do that? Why not be honest instead of fudging the numbers? One should expect better from the universe's only "true" church. Truth matters.

  • @Exmormon: Ms Emmitt mentioned the number 1,800 in one of these vids (I know that there are much more in total) so I was going by what she was referring to.

  • @Yunginspirit

Then you made the same mistake in your thinking that you do when listening to the Mormons. Don't you think your own thoughts? It's quite easy to deduce that there are MORE exmormons in the world than Mormons, one does not need an official pronouncement from the Mormon monolith to obtain that idea and information.

    Please research.

  • newspapers across the country, and every single one of them happened because of press releases that went out to local newspapers. And why do you think the pictures often show everyone wearing T-shirts that name the church? You are VERY naive -- about a lot of things concerning the church.

  • "We don't advertise them to the world." The ____ they don't! I, myself, have been involved in charitable works done by church members, and part of the planning is ALWAYS a PR to the local press -- always!! I could name dozens of times I've seen pictures and articles in (cont)

  • @Exmormon: I'll try and find the article for you re the survey, but you could try Google it.

  • @Exmormon: You can read abt our Charitable efforts in Church publications Ensign, Church News, Meridian Magazines on BYTV and/or radio and glean from other sources. We don't advertise them to the world.

  • @exmoagogo - no, I haven't.

  • I suppose then that if you Yunginspirit were there you would have succeeded in re-baptizing the whole lot?

  • Yes, and the St. Vincent de Paul Society of the Catholic church dwarfs anything the Mormons do.

  • Well, like Boyd Packer said, some truths are not helpful......
