I wrote this song to pay a tribute and wish a happy birthday to my idol Sela Ward...
Being a strong believer, I've been inspired by the wonderful Rufus Wainwright's version of the song Hallelujah cause this song always touched me particularly and also has a special meaning to me... And Sela in Hebrew can also mean Hallelujah...So I thought this could be a perfect basis...
Since my computer still needs a fix and that I wasn't able anymore to make a video with my software, I've used a vid I made two years ago adding just an "old movie" effect...
This was my first trial as a songwriter and I think probably my last one too cause I'm not talented for that and not being completely fluent (cause I speak French), it was very difficult for me to find rhymes that could fit with the melody keeping at the same time some meaning...Otherwise I could have written something like "table, cable, maple..." LOL
I'm not a good singer either even if I really love to sing...And being extremely emotional, it's been difficult for me to sing it without crying...Can't count anymore how many times I've tried...So I decided to give up and to take the version, even if it was far to be perfect, in which no one could hear me cry...For sure, I will never win a Grammy with that! LOL...But since Celine Dion wasn't available to sing it, I had no other choice than doin' it myself! LOL
I'd like to apologize in advance for the severe headaches and hearing loss I might cause with this song cause it's sure some of you (not to say y'all) will have to run to the ENT after that! LOL
I'm also sorry for the Gully washer you may have in your area...Cause yeah, if it's rainin' like a cow pissin' on a flat rock, I do declare I'm the only one to blame!...This is my fault! Bless my heart! LOL
