Boat hits Allenburg Bridge!

This happened on 11th of August 2001. the bridge operator was drunk. Since this accident, ships now have remote switches for all bridges in the Welland Canal.

OH MY GOSH!!!!!! I was on the crew of the Brig Niagara earlier this summer and we were joking about out ship not fitting under THAT birdge!!! Its amazing how My heart raced when I saw this I knew from the moment I saw the bridge on tv That I was UNDER THERE JOKING ABOUT THIS SAME THING WITH OUR SHIP!
I Just new that I had to watch the video again!

No, I got it from somewhere else on the internet, but since I live in the same region as this bridge and was there a few minutes after this happened I figured I'd post it to show others what happened.
