Sorry, I was not trying to question your patriotism. I suppose the growing use of English expressions just highlights how so much of our Scottish ways are being overtaken as English expressions enter usually through TV and the media. About 30 years ago a Scottish football player I knew who played for Norwich used an expression which he said was "Scottish rhyming slang". I pointed out that there was no such thing and suspect he got the idea from The Sweeney or some TV show.

A brilliant version of this great Scottish song....real Celtic music.....The Wolfe Tones do a fantastic rendition of the same tune but with an Irish slant called "Carnlough Bay"

I'm from Embra and one of my best mates is from Dundee.If he's a typical Dundonian then Dundee produces some of the nicest people you could ever meet.

Don't knock Dundee...I left there in 1980 and it always calls me back you can roam and go other places....Dundee will always be HOME...
