@Soaptivated Coffee soap is great to use in the bath and in the kitchen. It's great at neutralizing scents. Soap is a wash off product, so you won't smell like coffee after you use it. There are many people who love coffee soap, and I am one of them. Have a great day!

I've made coffee soap a few times and yiu definately need either fo or essential oil flavouring. Fresh brewed coffee added isnt enough as the lye eats it up.Thanks for this Elizabeth.p.x

Do you find that using strong brewed coffee in your lye/water makes it take forever to reach trace? I think it's because there is a high level of acid in the coffee, and it messes with the lye chemical reaction. I think my stick blender will burn out one day making coffee soap. LOL!

@soylarcandles I think it behaved well, but I don't think it took any longer than some of my other soap.

I want to try adding FO to my coffee soap recipe. When I use fresh brewed strong coffee and add the grounds, it seems the lye eats up the nice aroma and then the soap doesn't smell like coffee. I think the FO will give it a boost. Thanks for sharing! Irene

@soylarcandles Thanks for watching, Irene! Try a FP scented in coffee. It really adds a lot to the soap!

Wondering why you didnt use real brewed coffee & coffee grounds instead of FO ?

@mukwah1111 Because coffee alone will not scent the soap.
