Surrey Heath Bin Men Block Drive with Wall of Bins - Contractor is Verdant

My bin men are behaving terribly. The contractor is Verdant. We place the bins neatly every week. They then block our drive and often the pavement too. This means we can't drive our car in. We have young children - which means our choices are unsafe or illegal. Neither of which appeal. When the bin men block the pavements - it means double buggies and mobilty scooters have to go into the busy road. Surely there must be legislation banning them from blocking the pavements and drives - Where is Europe when you want a sensible EU directive?

Most binmen try to be reasonable and considereate when returning bins, the example shown here is unfortunate. That said, some residents want bins returned to an exact spot and with around 1,800 bins to empty on a daily round, it is impossible to recall where each householder wants their bin put. I know that binmen often know exactly where they would like to situate a residents wheelie bin though :-)

Binmen are often badly disrespected by the general public, I think it all comes down to snobbery

Get out off your car and move them then arsehole !What there doing is not illegal but filming someone without permission is saddo!If thats all youve got to worry about FFS!!
