while i dont doubt that incomes disparity is a growing trend we need to recognize the difference between "income gains" and wealth.

one reflects a change between 2 numbers (the delta) and the other is an absolute number.

The top 1% controls things? That's hardly suprising as they own the things which without noone would live? Their income gains are extremely high? Well, wealth is somewhat exponential now isnt it. If you have 5c and you double it you have 10c, you've gained 5c, but someone who has $1000 and increases it at the same rate, they then have $2000, and have gained $1000. And that, is fair. Everything is relative, and quite frankly if you earn something, you are entitled to have it.

Hey, excellent job on the video. You certainly are a bit more studious and thoughtful than most youtubers. And you did your homework on income disparities. That subject is usually left out of political debate.

I remember getting a huge shock in my first sociology class in 2005 when my professor revealed, among other economic facts, that the top 20% control 80% of the nation's wealth. That knowledge changed me politically, and I've never looked back.

It's no surprise if more TVs were sold in 2009 since 2008 was "the end of the world." Even Black Friday deals in 2008 were terrible, so people aren't going to buy bigger-ticket items if there's a sudden financial crisis and lousy sale prices.

Plus, 2009 was the official turning off of the analog TV spectrum, so a lot of people probably figured now's the time to get a digital TV.
