I can tell you never went to private school.

dwdrumkit-You talk ignorant b.llocks.I came from very working class background and many did at music college! This has NOTHING to do with class(you sound like someone from 1946!) OR money (which is all his hype machine are interested in).I am ONLY interested in his singing. If u listen to my videos of male singers it is pretty obvious unless youre tone deaf totally that he is not that level as ANY pro opera singer will tell you.But theyre all 'rich tossers' who are wrong according to u.

The real issue is not only that he is not good enough technically for a pro classical singer-he is unmusical.If he was musical he would have better pitch awareness+his upper notes E-A are painful to listen to due to bad control.Cardiff Singer of World is shown on BBC with great singers who are'nt given huge marketing hype he gets-yet we're told Potts is 'humble'.So amazing Carolyn Sampson gets 4000 hits on YTube for her great Proms perf + Potts gets 100 million.

all you classical tossa's are the same brought up in private schools. For the normal person it sounds great. He is just a normal working bloke kicking all your rich arse. Go buy a friend that will listen to you.

You should not listen to Paul so much then. Sounded good to me on all his songs on Passione album. The person that sounds terrible is your voice.
I have seen him in concert, and a great voice, very strong, and the critics of past are quiet these days. Who cares if he is not in an opera, thousands just want to listen to Paul sing classical music.
Pauls career is strong, and he will stop singing when he wants to stop, and not when you think.

OK so he sung in Sydney Opera House.Which opera did he appear in there? Das Rheingold,Wozzeck,Elektra? Which Classical works-Mozart Requiem,Winterreise song cycle?
He only sung ONE aria on his last album-E Lucevan- and that was a disaster.

Paul Potts sings opera arias like a brilliant tneor he is, and not performing them in a variety theatre, but in Sydney Opera House and the likes.
Last 2 yrs record concerts doing classical works.
