Watched at it and tought..... "Like time stood still".

The band's LOOK was always something of a cringe-provoker....
but the spiritual FLOW they often conceived was unique, musically. And that has no price.
one afternoon,In Bologna, Italy , they played in the main square. I cried, and became a musician full-time. Gracias,Simple Minds.

Only reason u2 are bigger is that they got the best salesman in the world as a singer. The ironic thing is U2 become a mainstream band when it wasn't as good. Proves bullshit goes a long way. Like Noel G said if u tell enough people ur the best sum1 will believe it.

Part of it is that they hit so big with a mediocre song that they didn't even write, or wouldn't even have written, stylistically speaking. It's sad that "Don't You..." is their primary cultural legacy. This song is actually better than I expected, but my expectations in all things are exceedingly low.
