Dr. Fry's trial started this week, on Aug. 2. After she experienced medical marijuana during her chemotherapy she began recommending it to her patients. At court this week, one of the judge's first orders was that no mention could be made -- from any witness or by presentment of evidence -- of medical marijuana. How can a jury fairly deliberate if kept in the dark? Is this justice? Should her voice be heard?

I think most of that discussion happened away from the jury, but I think they still have an idea what this case is about.

True. Unfortunately, the judge won't the jury know anything about medical use.
