  • The double wall pipe makes use of convection by heating the rising air between the inner and outer pipe and then introduces this hot air into the flame just above the fire. When it is fired properly there is very little smoke. Not the most efficient but it does work. Similar to other stoves out there. Probably not technically a wood gas producer but it functions the same as other production models out there.

  • Sorry man you are just increasing combustion due to an increase in air flow similar to how a blast furnace works. You are not generating wood gas and then reburning that gas to heat your water. You are doing one step similar to a campfire only slightly more efficient. This is a hobo stove at best

  • Very nice!Thank you for the video:)

  • do you get much soot?

    thanks

  • @dandretti1 Me again.I bought a 6" black stovepipe "T". The side leg of it goes into the bottom of the SS stovepipe. Cap the horizontal ends of the "T". In one of the caps cut it out for a 12 volt radio shack computer fan to mount in. A deer feeder rechargeable sealed lead acid battery (12v) works real good to run the fan.If you really want to go green, a 12 volt solar cell for the battery will keep it charged. On a bright day my solar cell will actually run the fan by itself.

  • @dandretti1 Hello, Let me tell you that there will always be negatives around. They are what makes positives shine so well. Trial and error is what produces success. Forget what it might be called. I used a 12" tall ss double wall insulated stovepipe from Lowes; as you did. With a perforated ss disc at the bottom, it is a powerhouse of a stove. I really like the way you built the combination windshield- potholder with a hole for feeding the fire. I appreciate that idea.It works, Thanks a lot

  • Best idea I've seen so far for a homebilt!

Good work! Not much smoke for no fan!

  • sweet!

  • Love the stove, it seems to work great ! I wish I had some of that stainless pipe it really looks nice and probably cleans up pretty easy !

  • Dude ! what happened at around 1:20 ? I think the aliens just stole your lighter !

  • So this is a cooking video and not a how to build a wood gas stove out of stove pipes. oooh Keyay ......thanks for nothing but its good to see that it can be done I

can figure the rest out anyway.

  • @lakewood85 ether one you said the same thing word for word on another vid about the same thing or you copied and pasted

  • it is actually a gasifier, but he did not put a lot of fuel for the gasification that's why it became a hobo stove
