Here is the first part to Ferde Grofe's beautiful composition, the Grand Canyon Suite, performed by William Stromberg and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
Fun facts: Selections from this suite can be heard on the Disneyland Railroad, and some of the music was featured through out the Christmas Story as part the film's soundtrack.
In the 60's, as a youngster attending Catholic School, on Wednesdays, from 10 to 11, the nuns would turn on and tune the radio a station that would play music geared towards children. While the music played we given materials to draw our impressions of what the music meant to us. The Grand Canyon Suite is a pleasant childhood memory amongst some tough times. Thank you. Music doth sooth the savage beast and busy little people:).
