I'm busting my zipper over here.
Can you believe some Zs were ordered from the factory, painted blue? Which is like ordering a beige Corvette. My '80 Z28 (and I'm so happy to have one!) Is black with a tan interior. Not a bad color combo, but the Z-stripes, that cover the car, must match the car's interior. Saying here: The brown stripes lend the illusion that the car's paint is dark brown. Black on Red (or, red on black) is artistically the proper way to go.

I take off my Z28 emblems front and back while my car is in storage. We have a sharea common building, things have a tendency of going missing. I get all my parts from NPD (National Parts Depot) MI.
