A much under-rated British sitcom from the 1990s about a Neighbourhood Watch group. Starred Brian Wilde and Trevor Bannister and was directed by Alan J.W. Bell. This is the one where they make a crime prevention video. With Anne Ridler and April Walker.
both men are sadly dead.

Trevor Bannister has died today. Another legend gone!

I am guessing that Trevor Bannister recomended Frank Thornton to brian wilde to portray Truly in the last of the summer wine. SinceTrevor worked with Frank Thornton in are you being served, and worked with Brian Wilde in Wyatt's Watchdogs.

Sad to hear the announcement of passing of Brian Wilde. Probably better remembered for his roles in "Porridge" and "Last of the Summer wine". Another comedy treasure lost!

Self Appointed Pompus Idiot in Charge!! Purfect formula for a good British sitcom.. we love laughing at authority.. Manwearing/Hyacinth Bucket/Meldrew/Foggy and Fawlty just marvelous..
Its such a shame we dont see a bit more of Brian Wilde.. hes a national icon..
