Oh, I remember Sailor Bob. And Gilly Gull lip-syncing to Roger Miller's "Kansas City Star" which was always followed by a Popeye cartoon because the last line of the song was "Now here's that Popeye cartoon I promised you."

@TheSailorBobShow I just remember Sailor Bob featuring the live action episodes of the classic '50s Superman. They used to be broadcast 3:00pm Saturday afternoons on WRVA-12.

My dad and I watched Bob religiously he always refers to an episode where he started laughing and couldn't stop any help?

@SunnyBunny1399 Sailor Bob and Gilly Gull got into many laughing fits during the LIVE daily shows. Fortunately, one of them occurred while 'tape was rolling'. "The Joke Book" segment is featured in "The Sailor Bob Story - A Documentary Tribute" which is now available for purchase.

I have a memory of Gilly Gull singing a song called "Road Hog." Does anyone else remember this, and is there any video?

@Putterdog "The Sailor Bob Story - A Documentary Tribute" has a section on some of the "musical inserts". One of the clips is of "Road Hog". It's unfortunately that legally we can post must of the material that survives, simply because of copyright issues. Use of popular songs of the day for the "inserts" was perfectly alright when the pieces were originially produced and aired, because WRVA television was paying the ASCAP/BMI royalties as part of WRVA radio.

my favorite pre school show. Where's Popeye?

@highwayhokie Popeye cartoons were always part of the program. However, that material is copyrighted to King Features and I'm not risking copyright issues with them on YouTube.
(Do you remember Sailor Bob featuring Superman cartoons for a while?)
