Good stuff. I'm 61 and just starting to explore the FaceBook and Twitter phenomenon. I still expect the potential benefits are great if the users learn the vital new skills of restricting the activity to genuinely 'useful' things (rather than robotic servitude to trivia) and retaining sufficient normal manners so that conventional relationships aren't too degraded. Even now in Skype I've had to develop a 'ruthless' ability to dismiss unwanted intrusions and noise even from friends and family.
