Robin Hood Sucks

The new Robin Hood film is an affront to everything appealing about Errol Flynn's classic or Disney's wonderful animated take on the story. It doesn't even live up to the low standard set by Kevin Costner's lackluster 1991 version.

I actually liked the movie but it does annoy me to no end that everything has to be so realistic and gritty these days. So I like Ridley Scotts Robin Hood movie, but I still really want someone else to make a new one that feels like the real, jolly deal!

But then I remembered: James Cameron went from Aliens to Avatar and I don't even want to think about Lucas.

That's deep, now that I think of it, he has been oppressed beyond happiness. It reminded me of Gladiator, that character was also seriously oppressed and had a lot of transgressions against him, but continued to fight till the end, but Robin Hood shouldn't remind me of Gladiator. Russell Crowe was really happy about this version, maybe that's how he thought Robin Hood ought to be, and the rest was children's nonsense.
