  • How is that typewriter able to go fast? I notice you're able to go much more rapidly than any manual could without jamming, will that one jam at all?

  • @asdelan so far no jamming, it is really very well balanced and has an easy touch. It would jam, however, if you press two keys at exactly the same time, so as with any typewriter it needs some experience and getting used to it.

  • @asdelan yes it will, occasionally.

  • Indeed, the manual version looks exactly the same. Electricity makes for even easier touch.

  • Wow, that typewriter is in great shape. You're a very good typist, too. Thanks for posting the video.

  • @simbared Thank you very much! I really like this machine. It has an incredibly light touch, and (when in good condition) is rather quiet for an electric typewriter.

  • i havent seen a 5TE with a long carriage before.

  • sounds like a manual typewriter, apart from it is actually electric.

  • I own one of these also; I think it has the best touch of all the S-C electrics.
