Sinton 2011 Blue Bird Vision ride (bus 168)

Last fall, I did a co-op placement at Sinton Transportation for most of the semester. While I was there, I had the opportunity to go on lots of trips like: delivering buses to garages, picking up parts for buses, going out on test rides, and going out to places where buses have broken down, to go back to the yard. It was fun. Here's a video of one of my rides: A test run with a Cummins service tech on a 2011 Vision so that the tech could see how it ran from his laptop. This bus still had the "new bus" smell! We went down Highway 400 for a couple of exits and went back to the yard. This bus came with the new Cummins ISB 6.7L with EPA 2010 emission compliance, along with the Allison AL2500 6-speed.

@RobLocJr There's still lots of manual doors that are ordered here. But it seems that Blue Bird is the only company that still uses them. Thomas and IC have all gone to power doors. Stock, another company around here has ordered Thomas C2 buses with air doors, while FIrst Student has electric door CE200s.

@TheFdpricejr No, they are actually easy to close. There are options when you order your bus for things like electric door or air door. This one is a manual door. They are alot easier than the jack-knife doors that Blue Bird used to make.

Well yea their the only ones and we just got three 2012 visions but idk if their doors are manual or air

the thomas c2's cummins isb is a lot quiter than the bluebird visions
