@BALDWINAQUAMAN Yes, they can/ You have to have a tight fitting lid (but with air exposure of course - or lots of exposure in the sump) so he can't escape. These guys are smart. Stories have been told where one would leave one tank to enter another eat the fish then return to it's own tank.

hes real cute but these intelligent wonderful animals dont belong in someones aquarium, maybe a zoo but not in someones home!

it will only escape if u dont keep him entertained by puting his food in a jar and letting him oopen it. if u have to saltwater tanks they will actally go back and forth 2 both of them lol. do u guys know where i can get an octopus online. i went on these guys website and its a pain in the ass to find an octopus plz and thanks that woudl be great

@MinusG U wouldn't wanna buy it there, cuz live ones as pets costs like over $80 w/ shipping. U'd might as well go to a Chinese or asian grocery store. They sell a lot in packages for a lot cheaper

@bradkrit ...the octopus was temporarily put in this container soley to record the video since it would be too hard to do so in its main tank with all of the rocks and hiding places.
