what does it take to join? ive heard about you guys (mainly gripes from neighbors) and it looks really cool!

Dues:

Social/non-voting member: $25/year

Full/voting member (you own equipment): $50/year

really? thats not too bad at all! So you can be a social member without your own equipment?

Yes, you can be a social member, and even use the club's equipment. Most of the members are very kind and share their toys. We just ask that if you are going to bring your own trains that you join as a full member to help offset the extra wear and tear, usage, etc.

There's also a new club, Mud Creek, just over in Rapids on 27 acres zoned for commercial use. We can make as much noise/ruckus as we want. :-)

The club does own an engine (the big UP PA) that members can operate. I will sent you a message about the next meet, probably at the end of October.
