@JohananRaatz If you pay attention to the Republican primary, you'll see a lot of Christian bigotry. I would cite several examples: anti-abortion laws, the proposed Defense of Marriage amendment, the affirmation of our National Motto: "In God We Trust," the issue of contraception in health care (opposed by Catholic Bishops), teaching Creationism in schools, proposed reinstating of "Don't Ask Don't Tell," the list goes on and on. All of these issues are riddled with theocratic justification.

@JohananRaatz It's called If Atheists Acted Religious. My mistake.

@JohananRaatz Look up the video called "If Atheists Acted Like Christians". It's a cartoon video. If you watch that, maybe you'll understand how non-believers feel everyday.

@Kloborgg "constant struggles to teach fairy tales in science classes and discard actual fact (evolution)."
How often does that happen though? And also regarding science-minded kids, how many of them will believe this even in the few cases where it does get injected?
@JohananRaatz
It's not a protest, it's a rally. It's meant to give us, atheists, a voice. It's meant to help other atheists "come out". America tends to forget non-believers exist, and we end up with, in our modern 21st century country, constant struggles to teach fairy tales in science classes and discard actual fact (evolution). You may prefer to keep your ideals to yourself and keep quiet, but that's not the spirit this country was founded on.

How often does it happen? Every day. There are plenty of petitions going on right now. There are currently biology text books that contain inlets, stating "evolution is JUST a theory". "Science-minded" kids might not believe creationism, but a typical american christian will. Evolution is not even close to intuitive, it NEEDS to be taught, and it needs to be taught well. Take a trip to the American south, and you'll understand that this is a very real problem.
