Heres a series of loco haul freight and specials passing Flag lane.
1. LMS Jubilee No. 5690 Leander turns off the main line with the Fellsman. Class 47 No.47760 was on the rear and can be heard claging. Sadly this means that it was doing a lot of the work.
2. Class 92 No.92017 Bart the Engine with the 4s43.
3. Two DRS Class 66 Nos.66426 and No.66422 and an ex fastline 66 No.66434 pass with the 6c53.
4. Freightliner Class 66 No.66951 on an empty coal working (with tone at the end).
5. DRS Class 66 No.66429 with the 4m34.
6. Freightliner Class 66 No.66952 on a light engine move.
7. Freightliner Class 66 No.66508 on another empty coal working.

  • Hello Alistair great catch u got there , I bloody missed leander tonight 5 mins early augh ah well nevermind always next week right ! BTW i saw that arsehole again tonight at bamber bridge station the dick whos walks out infont of ya ! augh i hate that prick

  • @ThePrestonChannel LOL i never saw Leander at night it never came but 48151 was over 45 minuets early !

  • I travelled on The Fellsman last year with 5690 where she only had 9 bogies. Today she had 11 bogies plus the ~125 tonne diesel! Crossing over the WCML at fairly slow speed and then immediately faced with the climb would have tested her - especially as she only passed her steam test on Saturday and was quickly prepared for her proving run last night - she's had quite a bit of work carried out over the spring. The support crew are to be congratulated for getting her ready at such short notice.

  • @tonydavin Its a credit to Cranforth and the support crew, in all fairness it is a steep climb on a sharp curve.

  • @englischlokfuehrer Yes two more videos too go ! And yes flag lane is the bridge. Thanks !

  • Very good Alistair, You'll soon have another milestone with 200 vids uploaded. The location of 'Flag Lane' must be the bridge you are on, as I know the area only by the 2 junctions nearby.
