@Maginomicon....I hope you hope you're not describing Obama as "Uber-Conservative". The left in this country by default is center right. Obama is not particularly Conservative as far as Democrats go and falls well within the bounds of your average "Liberal Democrat" on the Political spectrum.

Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of answer. From where I'm sitting, I'm just noticing that if Obama didn't automatically get the ballot, that both parties would be greatly divided. The Dems have an uber-conservative "democratic" president that wouldn't follow any part of what Fox believes is hardline left even if you hit him with a brick with their position written on it. Meanwhile the Repubs are literally divided into original and spicy (Tea Party). It's all about the MONEY.
