Never celebrate a person's "death day" - don't give the Grim Reaper any credit. Celebrate the birthday, like Christmas for Jesus. Nobody celebrates the day when they caught Jesus and hung him up to die on the cross, do they? No. That's why Elvis fans also need to get a clue - celebrate January - his birthday - not August, when he died.

@just1shotatlife Were he and Paul Newman friends?

Yeah, my dad was co-owner of Sib's, I learned to play pool there, saw several famous people but never Steve. Amazing how that whole area was nothing but desert and you didnt even have to pay a fee for off-roading!

RIP Steve.
I remember when Steve and Ali got stuck in a dune buggy north of Sunrise Way in Palm Springs in the early 70's. My bro and I helped them out. God she was cute. I was only 13. He had a cool half track he used to drive down the hill to Sib's where he shot pool in S Palm Springs. Those were the days.
they should make a clone of Steve McQueen.

heart attack following an experimental surgery for cancer. lung cancer from asbestos poisoning that was from when he was in the marines and/or race car driving with asbestos soaked rags to cover his face.
