Why do game devs still try to make their customers sick?

ALL PC FPS should have an FOV slider. There is no reason for them not to include this in the options menu. Crysis2 default FoV is 55!!! and it have no fov slider you can use the console command to change it but I shouldn't have to do that.

Back in my days we had this thing called a "console". We just activated it and wrote "fov x" where x represented your desired FOV. As easy as that. Kind of hard on console games for kids though.

I recently bought Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood without knowing anything about FOV.

I then went back and played the game right after watching this video.

I still don't see what the problem is. Seriously. Suck it up. You Americans have big stomachs but you get queasy way too easily over literally everything.

How could I possibly argue with personal feelings. 8:22 see how the widescreen stretches the 55° ingame fov far beyond the real 55°/60° in your cone of vision? In part 2 it is shown that a "normalsreen" does fit in perfectly in your cone of vision, thus displaying the exact amount of degrees the fov it takes in your cone of vision. The game shows 55° fov, your the monitor takes 55° of your fov. A widescreen shows 55° fov but takes 70°+ of your fov. THIS IS WHAT CAUSES NAUSEA ACC. TO THIS VIDEO!

Un true. I have a 24" widescreen, a 17" 5.4 (both close range) & I also plug into my 40" tv (10-12 feet) if any 1st person game is under a 70+ FOV (ie I can not adjust it to 90 or highrer) I will experience "a mental unsettling/nausea" after 20-30 minutes. Commonly known as fov sickness on all 3 screens. Admittedly the tv is a little less but the close up of both monitors is equally unsettling. Argue that.
