Tamil Tigers reject 'human shield' accusations - 27 March 09

Tamil Tigers rebels in Sri Lanka have denied accusations that they are using civilians as human shields.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, smuggled out of the country, a senior Tiger commander rejected claims that civilians are being kept hostage in the combat zone.

Al Jazeera's Tony Birtley reports.

The LTTE were bad news for SriLankans, Tamil and Sinhalese. The LTTE is finished. Lets make sure they stay that way-relegated to the history books, and not active, killing people, Sinhala and Tamil. THE SINHALA PEOPLE HAVE A BIG ROLE IN MAKING SURE THAT THE LTTE ARE RESTRICTED TO HISTORY BOOKS AND DON'T RAISE THEIR UGLY HEAD AGAIN. Discrimination and repression of Tamils should STOP. I'm Tamil. The LTTE are a war profiting terrorists and many of my relatives were murdered by them. But the SL Gov. go and bomb hospitals and civilian buildings so that they can't get medication and they die either at their hands or due to illnesses and injuries. They put them in camps and let them die of starvation. SL says how LTTE hid in government authorized areas so they couldn't take any actions before...but had it been tamil civilian area, they had no problem dropping bombs. =)

Sinhalees r becoming rich by looting Thamils. 1983 unharmed Colombo Thamils been murderd and looted by Sinhalees. In mullaitheevu SL Army looted Thamils again. Thamils been treated as 2nd class citizen in SL. SL is a JOKE.

There is no oil in sri lanka. Therefore the UN does not care. We send troops to iraq, why , because oil rules, ethnic conflicts do not. Human life is worth less than oil.
