Needless to say, I didn't upgrade (or get a new laptop) because they wait 3-4 hours. I can't take the ridiculously long waits.
The good news is that my old phone works just fine.

i live in new york and I got it and had 2 activate it there last year during the 3g launch but idk if u can not activate it

He I live in Europe and im going to New York sunday. Do you think that i can go to the apple store there with a american ID and then just buy it without having to activate it.. Or do you like HAVE to activate it in the store?
