Fres Thao's Thursday Spoken Word/Hip Hop Emcee class speaks up with impromptu poems after hearing and discussing KDWB's racist song degrading the Hmong community.

The Center for Hmong Arts and Talent's Art Saves Us is a program that offers free after school art classes for youth ages 7 to 20 years old as a way to immerse the youth to comprehend and explore the arts in an array of disciplines.

The dehumanizing KDWB song can be found here:

Kudos to the youth for taking initiative and leading a positive, creative approach to handling the situation.

  • 4:15 was hilarious! haha! was not expecting that.

  • 4 people are racist to Hmong people

  • @sisk08 the only reason why we here is because we use our lives, traded our fathers and sons for the Americans. Learn why we are here first before writing statements first. Learn both sides.

  • keep it up!!

  • i like the replies lol

  • putting other people down makes you feel good and its funny huh? c'mon its 2011...

    grow up.

  • Relax it is funny, so don't take it so seriously young peep and enjoy your freedom here in the U.S., unless you want to go back to Laos.

  • Who edited this?

Didn't the guy with the tie just stereotype Black people with the line "... at least we're not on the Maury show and still not know who's the baby daddy"? I think Black people should protest your racist poetry.

Isn't this the larger problem though—that we're quickly offended when someone jokes about us, but we just as quickly lay down stereotypes about other races and get laughs from the crowd? Some people are too dumb to even recognize the hypocrisy.
