Good to see this. My mum was born in Birnie Street, Lochgelly and my grandad and Uncle Andra worked in the Nelly Pit. Have never seen it before, just heard some stories when I was younger.

The Nelly Pit is now Cartmore Industrial Estate.

Lochgelly High School is just across the road.

Brilliant stuff neeber. I hail from just down the road in Dundonald. I remember Brighills pit, Bowhll Pit and just remember dundonald Pit. Those films you have uploaded are immense. I worked in Seafield Colliery from 1977 till its closure.
