I like all your videos, very well done. However, this one I am struggling to understand the point of using the bit-crusher because as far as my ears can tell it just seems louder. Why not just boost the volume in this case rather than adding an effect?

You gained the level up and then compared loud signal with the quiet one (any loud signal would sound better) so what is the point of this? I mean I can't really hear how that bit-crusher works/sounds.

i definietely need this tip, thanks! Do you know where to get high quality kick drum samples?

it seems almost like an EQ

Why you dont have a limiter on your master ? And the channels are dont clipping. How you do that.
The A-B check up is not so useful, because the levels are so different, bring the output level of the Bitcrusher effect down and show it again.

if you have several tracks for your drums (ie 1 kick 1 snare 1 hi-hat) do you add bitcrusher to each? or should you bounce your drums first and make it one track?

@deaner18 you could either bounce them in place or best thing to do is to bus all the drum out though one bus and then have a Bit Crusher effect tracks...

Helpful tutorial as always.
I don't see a limiter or compressor on your main outs. How do you get your levels all the way up like that without hitting 0 db?

@MattHossZone the drums were already processed to not clip...
