  • @ferociousgumby fuck. yes. he is so damn hot. That wife of his is a lucky lady!

  • Congratulations to this man, im struggle with two addictions for almost, 25 years of my life, and now is almost destroyed, and the cause of this was just Adverse childhood experience ( Sexual abuse and totally family neglect )like Dr Gabor says . Until all society finally open the eyes and stop judging addict people like lack of control and irresponsible and see that everything that says Dr Gabor is so simple and real and true cause of all addictions , we the addict people will never heal.

  • Im agree with this This man theory of addiction, but he never mention that all this Adverse childhood experiences who lead us to addiction , damage severely and maybe permanently many areas in the brain, so the addiction its not only because the sadnees or loneliness, its more like a copyng defense mechanism of some illness like depression, ptsd, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, caused directly by this severe damage to some areas of the brain because of the Adverse childhood experiences.

  • I love him and his knowledge -- he's great.

  • Gabor has opened the importance of understanding addiction issues. You cannot separate the mind from the body. We have two main parts to our brain one is rational and one is survival. Addiction is learned in the survival portion of the brain. We must learn how to re-train this survival portion of our brain that it does not need a substance for survival.

  • Dear ferocious:

'He doesn't practice what he preaches ???'

What exactly do you think he's "preaching?" Inhuman Perfection?

    Your comment is unbelievably wrongheaded

  • ferociousgumby, he's not fucked up - he's just aware of his humanity, as well as that of the people around him. If you don't have that awareness, then your nom de youtube is probably truly appropriate.

  • I listened a speech of his on the Oct 25th episode of the Big Ideas podcast earlier today and it was brilliant!
