Tren de carga y pasajeros en Moín Limón. Máquina 83 llega con el tren de pasajeros, mientras que las máquinas 79 y 85 se acoplan al tren de lingote rumbo a Arcelor Mittal en Jiménez de Guácimo. Tomado por Marco Bagnarello

  • Most of the locomotives in use are U10Bs and U15Cs. But I often drive for the commuter trains using brand new Hyundai Rotem DMUs. When I do shunting in the yard I am allowed to handle locomotives. But railfans here in the Philippines calls the locomotives "blue whales" because of their shape and colors. Maybe sometime i'll post some vids inside the yard.

  • yep I love your railways too, it is a reminder of our beloved Philippine National Railways, btw I am training as a train driver so I get some time to handle those kinds of locomotives. Thanks.

  • Thanks for the reply, good thing your railways is still being utilized for freight services while here in the Philippines they don't do that anymore. But hopefully things will get better here.

    I tell him that here the railway is recovering, it was closed in 1995 by a government wrong desicion. It transports iron in the Atlantic region and the capital of the country are connecting with some provinces by passengers trains

  • These bars were used in a foundry called Arcelor Mittal. Of the foundation occurs rod construction and other steel parts such as beams

  • No sabría decirle Don carlos, porque el mismo Jean Paul tiene unos videos recientes donde se ve algunas máquinas halando una cantidad similar de vagones cargados sólo con una máquina. Seía interesante averiguar cuando ponen 1 ó 2.

    Yo sabía que en Siquirres acoplaban otra máquina para subir el tramo después del puente de La Junta, pero no se exactamente porqué desde Limón va acoplada
