Rayne is back in BloodRayne: Betrayal for Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network this Summer.

Majesco and WayForward are handling the digital only title that sees Rayne tackle any number of vampire minions in a new 2D side scrolling adventure.

"It's been a long time since Rayne captivated players with her bold mix of brutality and beauty, and fans have been hounding us to release another BloodRayne installment," said Jesse Sutton, CEO of Majesco Entertainment.

"We are excited to once again partner with the creative and committed team at WayForward to bring Rayne back. BloodRayne: Betrayal delivers the action-packed experience franchise fans have been waiting for in a digital format that's also accessible for new players unfamiliar with Rayne's over-the-top, stylized gameplay."

Wow... has gaming really come to a point where people don't appreciate creative and beautiful 2d side-scrollers anymore. That's a shame. All of you people that are hating on this need to a) go play Boy and His Blob on the Wii and b) Go play Castlevania SotN.

I miss the old BLOOD RAYNE!!! Fuck!! Rayne was so much i mean so fucking hot in both games to the point i couldn't take my eyes off of her. Now in this one =/ its just disappointing from the reviews ive seen and the graphics. Im about to try the demo but i know i will not be satisfy.. Like if you want the old BLOOD RAYNE BACK!!!!

that's the thing, this isn't the 80's or 90's, i did my time in both playing side scroll games, i want 3d, i want what i payed out the butt for, it's out of pure laziness that side scrollers are still pushed out, it needs to stop...

just pay for the damn game. oh wow how much is it gonna be like 10$ thats expensive oh my geez. what were you gonna do with that money anyways huh? afford some fucking pringles ehh? well how about you put the money into buying the game were you just might like and even not convice the creators to actually make a bloodrayne game. they didn't expect much from devil may cry, but now look at it. i hope to see a bloodrayne three for x360/ps3

It's sad to think people that are "fans" of BloodRayne won't even try this game b/c it's not "OMG 3D GRAFX!"

@vovan486 I would disagree. It's all a matter of preference. Many gamers (including myself) still have a very large appreciation for a hand drawn HD sprite based aesthetic. It's not really anime though... the style is different. There is definitely room in the market for this type of game, especially with XBLA and PSN. Ever play Shadow Complex. This is going to be a similar game (apparently, I'll know more Thur.) but with a hand drawn art style. Also keep in mind this is not meant to be BR3.
