Actually, most of the Sikhs living abroad; especially places like UK & Canada; the largest cohorts came in mid-80s when Sikhs were being slaughtered all around India left & right.

Abbe yaar, Punjab is the most prosperous state in India where the per capita income is the highest among states discounting states like Delhi which are very small. Inspite of that you will find Punjabis and Sikhs all over India and the world. Does that mean the per capita income for Punjab has gone down? It just means Punjabis and Sikhs are enterpreneurs and are ready to go anywhere in the country or world for their economic growth or business. Logical thinking kar yaar.
