  • No Leo. The throttle cable was held together with superglue behind the bracket and I was making sure it wouldn't snap when I gave it gas. :P @NZJ - It was a broken rocker arm floating around in the valve cover! Funny thing is, it had PLENTY of power ::kanyeshrug:: before the car passed away.

  • the weakness of those m20b25 are the rocker arms that broke and jump around under your valve cover!

  • you ever figure out what the noise was ?

  • sounds like the valve train area not a rod if you listen from under the car you can tell if its the crank case or the valve and i also love how you tryed to give it gass by pulling the throttle cable haha

  • Sounds like some of the rockers has cracked., but it runs on all cyl., doesent it?

  • damn...a classic gone bad. PLEASE someone help this classic 3 series. BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE COMPRESSION TO ME, AND IT ALSO SOUNDS LIKE YOU'VE THROWN A ROD AND ITS CAUGHT IN THE WAY OF PISTONS MOVING.

  • Fucked up valvetrain and misfiring. I bet some of your rocker arms are shattered in pieces and cam is totally worn down. Been there, done that...on a M10 1.8l motor.

  • Where you pick up that hooptie ride? SMalley?

  • There is no timing chain on the engine is belt driven I hear valve clatter as well as...something else.

  • cam?
