This demo -- from Pattie Maes' lab at MIT, spearheaded by Pranav Mistry -- was the buzz of TED. It's a wearable device with a projector that paves the way for profound interaction with our environment. Imagine "Minority Report" and then some.

Pranav Mistry is the genius behind Sixth Sense, a wearable device that enables new interactions between the real world and the world of data.

  • Technology is great and all but people will eventually stop physically interacting. Instead of asking the employees in the shop if a product is any good they just scan it?

or ask the bookstore owner for his personal opinion on the book?

  • They should come up with a technology to let me know exactly when I need to take a shit. sometimes I sit on the bowl and nothing comes out and that sucks. I wish a computer could be developed so I know exactly the best time for the loudest, smelliest dump to come out of my body. Then I can use the computer to analyze my turds so I will know if I'm getting enough calcium and iron. Technology is great.
