An old Canadian Bush Pilot trick performed near the Simpson desert in Australia by two lost Canadian pilots, Mark Brooks and Gord Roberts. Remember, don't forget to fly the plane and do this away for populated areas, at cruise altitude please! Results may vary depending on your speed, size of hose etc.
Works best if the end sticking out the window is cut at 45 degrees.
Side effects may include missing charts and unreadable checklists.

  • Checkout your local airport for a flight school, there should be one in every town in any developed country, especially the USA! Start by taking an intro flight to get your first hour in the air, then take the ground school. Its about 80 hours of class room work and should cost less than $500... if no joy try the AOPA online stuff, its great!

  • Nifty trick! Could have used that one night after take off from Jennings, LA. Cockpit was full of mosquitoes. Needed a big hose. LOL
