Solution Focused Approach

In this DVD Insa Sparrer and Matthias Varga von Kibéd present in depth a systematical and detailed description of the solution-focused interview process. Insa Sparrer refers extensively to the work of the School of Milwaukee (Steve de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg) and explains the similarities to the School of Systemic Structural Constellations.

Furthermore, she illustrates the specific characteristics of the solution focused work in SySt®. The several parts of the solution-focused interview and the differences between the first session and the follow-up sessions are described and practiced for coaching situations.

The scaling question as well as the miracle question then forms a central focus. It is explained exactly how the miracle question is used as a trance induction. The continuation or completion of the solution-focused conversation by a structural constellation work is demonstrated twice. The result is a readable and comprehensible picture of how solutions are found without analyzing the problem.
