John singing a rather moving song from the play 'Civil War', he dedicated it to his dad and it is rather moving. Even my piano teacher said so when she borrowed this cd. Lol, enjoy

  • the community theatre that i'm part of does this song every memorial day weekend for a show called "A Salute to the Troops". they do this song in a three part chorus. its so beautiful and heartwarming. it makes you think about what our soldiers think about when they feel that they might not be coming back.

  • @signwalker12 I know. For awhile this song was hard for me to listen to because of my brother Kevin going to Afghanistan...then he came home, but he was injured. He's fine now but I completely understand completely. That's so cool your town does that

  • Mint Song :)

    Which CD is it from?

I am a very emotional person, however, some things that would reduce me to tears might not you. People express their emotions differently. Some people think crying is a sign of weakness, but just because they don't cry doesn't mean they are heartless. They express emotions differently. I cried the first time I heard this song, but I heard it in p

  • I played this song for my mom and she was speechless and crying. One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

  • What I don't like about this technically perfect version is that it sounds too polished and, perhaps, posh and, as a result, inauthentic.

  • Oh my god, I love this song and John Barrowman. I didn't even know he sang! I just knew him from Torchwood and I'm doing this song for my vocal class! I was surprised to see him on here.

  • I sang this song at state, and my judge bursted into tears. I got a 1 :) MUCH RESPECT TO ALL THE SOLDIERS DYING FOR THEIR COUNTRY! MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES! GOD BLESS AMERICA

  • Singing this in choir...truly touching and moving, especially those with sons and daughters serving in the military.

  • This is the most beutiful song that I ever heard T_T And I love him!!

  • @THEtyni1 agreed. I sang this song at school and was tearing up before the end of the first stanza

  • If this song doesnt bring you tears then you have no heart! God bless our soldiers!!!!

  • Singing this for choir, i love it so much
