http://healthyhairzone.com This is how I trim or dust my hair ends. This can be done at home with a little patience and practice. Take a deep breath and remember you are only taking off what's damaged!

I transitioned! Yay Me! All Natural. Check Out the Blog! http://www.seemyhealthyhairgrow.blogspot.com/

  • I also cut my own hair. I have shorter hair than you, but I use the same tecnique, only that I have to cut my hair "blindly" in the back trusting in my ability to combe it strait, and keeping my fingers in a straight line. Afterwards I trim the sides a bit so they match up with the lengt I cut in the back, and finishing it off with layering it a bit using the same procedure as you did. People often comment on that I always manage to keep my hair so neatly cut and in good condition. *lol*

  • i never trimmed my hair do you think it's possible if i do it on my own? Will it turn out okay or do I need to go to a salon?

  • I love this video I have been going to the shop and she always cuts chunks out of my hair and it seems my hair never gets any real length. I also have decided to transition to natural hair and this will be a big help. Not a fan of the big chop so I'm going slow with it. Thanks

  • Seeing the thumbnail I had to check this video out. My hair is a couple inches shorter than yours, but I tried this technique. I wanted to be the one who cut my hair. It just seemed right to me, and simple this way not seeing it done anywhere. Didn't work too well for me. Fingers are too unevenly shaped and hair slips through. For a perfectionist freak like me I need ultimate precision and so I opt for Feye's method. Unfortunately my hair is too short to do that, so I just S&D for now.

  • i just did this method, and i must say it worked great! thanks so much for showing me how. i did a better job then the shop.

  • I love this vid....thank u for sharing :)

  • A lot of my previous stylist would cut my hair, not trim CUT. I would always leave with my hair shorter than what i came in as. It seemed after so many months i would always have that same length. I told the stylist well it looks like my hair is not growing. she would say it was but she just was cutting way too much off. I don't see the point if they do that all the time. I found a lady finally that would not cut off that much and now i actually see a lot of growth.

  • this is a good technique too...

    im trying this next time...

  • I luv this technique, thx! Was able to trim my natural hair:D

  • Love the demo. Very informative. Thanks!

  • I love your makeup!!!
