the word sarco phagus comes from the greek meaning „sarx -- meat" and „phagien -- in order to eat", as a bowl who takes inside up the meat of a body. The artistic implementation is the transformation and deformation of a standard cremation coffin.

Harald Koeck has the need to penetrate the taboo of men with the coherence of Death.

In the analyse of „sarco phagus II" he assigns the itom of individuell Death as an artwork. To find the idea instead of to search, is he act of the process. The choise of the object is important for the involvement of the implementations.

His imagination is that the object tranforms itself. The power of the material and the build grows sensible and descends the viewer. As time goes by - the producer dies, the artwork stays alive.

He sees his producing (artistical and technical) as a process to assume the question how something will get in form and rightly so from the situation.
